They released finally! Neotokyo was originally an Unreal mod that moved to the HL2 Source engine. If you like Ghost in the Shell or similar this game is prolly for you. I'm downloading it now. Haven't tried it yet, hope they did a good job.

The GitS comparison only seems to go so far as the scenery. I was kind of hoping for more, such as the ability to choose implants that boost your abilities, etc.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

there is a ton of emphasis on communication. holding the ghost basically gives you all the enemy positions while giving away your own.

Does seem light on gameplay features and big emphasis on teamwork.

all the no scope scouting/awping helps a ton playing this game.
