When I admin_slap or admin_slay, it's because you're not helping your team. Completing the assigned team objective is the point of Counter-Strike. If you're out to camp the spawn area for kills, then you're playing the wrong damn game. Don't whine about me being a sore loser when you're the one we're waiting on to move cause you're camping the spawn with the bomb and the last CT is AFK. And then I slay you first after warning you to move twice.
Run with your knife out FFS, if I have to type out it several times, you know I'm going to get very annoyed.
Do not block doorways or narrow hallways, you're either going through it one way or passing through it in another direction.
Do not tailgate. I'm sorry but my ass is not supposed to meet your front. I like space to move. And when I need to retreat, it's nice to know that I won't have a teammate behind me blocking my path of escape thus causing us (or usually just me) to become cannon fodder.
Learn how to Flashbang. You NEVER toss one when you have teammates in front. And don't team flash intentionally either.
Never knife or shoot in the spawn when Friendly Fire is on. Hell, don't start unloading your gun or swing your knife in the spawn. It's great to turn FF on and then catch a stab in the back from a teammate.
Do not spam with annoying questions like "How do I become a admin?" or "Who likes 2pac?" Please don't spam.
When you see someone crouching or walking around, don't start running and give our position away unless you want to die.
Don't bitch and moan about the language and gag filter. And don't lecture me about what's supposed to pass as "offensive" or what's profane or racist. I run a college radio station. I know the magic words the FCC doesn't allow. Everytime I put in "Watch your language", I mean it. And if I keep repeating myself, I start kicking. I'm not on the server to be your mother, I'm there to play as well.
And when I ban you, don't come crying to me to get unbanned. I don't have time to waste on fools. I'll let something minor slide once or twice, but keep slipping up and you can count on something bad happening.
Now I feel slightly better. That's what's been annoying me on the AoL servers for the weekend.
We need to make that gag filter result in a admin_llama if they slip up a second time btw.

You're awesome Doc
, you just covered EVERY stupid thing someone can do in one post. This post should be added to the MOTD so players can see it when they hop on either of the AoL servers.

When I am defusing the bomb, watch my back. Not by actually staring at the bomb WITH me, but by watching the entrances to GUARD me.
Or, to put it another way: baby, you complete me. Now, stop already with the blushing ingnue act and strap that thing on while I run and fetch the midget.

Doc,
Good points.
Good enough, that I felt that this topic should be pinned.
In my mind, the things that make our servers good:
1) We have a great set of regulars that care about the gameplay in the server
2) Admins/Jr. Admins are around to watch for cheaters
3) Admins/Jr. Admins are around to boot the idiots
4) Admins/Jr. Admins are around to enforce the rules
5) Admins/Jr. Admins are around, and try to set an example. (note: if they aren't I need to know: renshai@armyofllamas.org)
6) Admins/Jr. Admins are listening to the regulars
7) The skill of the regulars/clan members (excluding ren)
Notice, I put the skill item last. I think the AoL members/Jr. Admins are doing a great job of trying to catch cheaters, and keeping the server fun. I feel item #1 is true mainly due to items 2-6, and that our regulars will continue to make our server popular.
Great job team, and thank you to all the regulars.

The other reason why I put it up was because there's been some big time criticism of my admin style. Most people apparently think being slayed for spawn camping means I'm a asshole of a admin. And then people ask why I kick them after they've flinged around the f and n words like how monkeys fling poop. They come right back in wondering what or why.
We need to update the MOTD. Cause I don't seen Rain on ever, and Scum Pops went to boot camp.

As far as the admins go....
The only two people that can do anything to the admins/jr.admins are Lucky and I. With that being said, we watch how all the admins/jr.admins are doing, and I feel they are doing a great job.
My point here is... don't come complaining to me if you are truly wrong, and you fall into the areas that Oct posted above (which has happened, and they have recieved a prompt...wah, get over it).

Well spoken. I couldnt agree more. Maybe it can be it's own subject: CS Ettiquite (sp?).
For instance, in reference to guarding a defuser, I always make it a point to try as much as possible to place my body in between potential enemy positions and the defuser, so as to obfuscate him as much as possible.
Running with your knife out is a must. CS is a game that relies heavily on timing and every second running with your knife out is buying you valuable time.
In regards to 'spamming', I think that as long as people are dead, they should be free to talk about what they wish, it's part of the social interaction of the game and should be encouraged, so long as they use appropriate language to do so. But CS is also an emotional game with enormous adrenaline rushes, so it's understandable that some people can and do get intense about it. Still, decorum must be maintained.
And please, please, please watch your radar. If you see teammates getting buried on another side of the map, its a pretty good bet you should pull up stakes and reinforce them, or at least flank the opposing team and catch em in a crossfire.
