So I'm looking for something a bit better than my Asus netbook (which is nice for some things, but not designing programs with LabView). Price range is right around $900. Current options I'm looking at:
lenovo IdeaPad Y550P
Asus A52JR-X1
Asus K72JR-X1
Asus N71JV-X1
Asus N61JV-X2
Now, I'm not limited to these options, but these are the ones that I've looked at the most. My current top contenders are the N61JV and N71JV, where it's a between an i5 core with a 16" screen, 1366x768 resolution, and about 6.5lbs or an i3 core with a 17" screen, 1600x900 res, and weighs 7.0 lbs.
Post any other options you can think of, as long as it's not an Acer.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Scrapped them all and bought this: Asus G73
This thing is freaking awesome, but big and seriously quite. I've yet to hear the fans on it and it's a scary feeling when you put your hand in the back and realize that yes, it is in fact cooling.
