Hey guys,
Changing jobs meant buying new game gear to support my WoW and BC2 travel habits. I read a LOT of reviews before I picked these up and if you are in the market for an upgrade these are pretty cool.
G73
http://www.asus.com/...je5Ot4HBnKOdT81
Well, I budgeted 800-1200 bucks for a new laptop with the goal that it would last me 2-3 years. I bounced around between getting a gaming netbook like the Alienware M11x or a nice 15 or 17 inch ASUS laptop. I did not feel comfortable custom building a Sager since I haven't been keeping up on the industry very well the last two years.
Not wanting to settle but also wanting to get the most for my money I really liked the G73. However, production problems and owner issues had me concerned. I ended up picking it up at Best Buy. The G73 owners forum on the ASUS website is great and I have not had any issues with this quiet, powerful, monster.
Razer Naga

I have always used a Logitech trackball for gaming but after seeing this in the store I decided it was time to grow up and buy a gaming mouse. I picked it up at Newegg.com. It took a few hours to get used to the interface and I still haven't mastered it on WoW but the difference in performance is tangible.
SLAPPA Backpack
M.A.S.K. Custom Build Backpack

I have always had business briefcases or shoulderbags but never a dedicated laptop bag for traveling through the airport. This one makes airport travel easy and I can carry both my work and gaming laptops.
Logitech Laptop Headset

Okay, I have owned four headsets in my life and this is simply the best. No big muffs that make my ears sweat or getting "headset hair" where the band digs into my skull for 4 hours. This behind the neck headset and mic rocks. It includes a plastic hardcase for traveling which I love. Be wary if you wear glasses though...some reviewers had a conflict since the ear portion goes over and around your ear (like wearing sunglasses backwards on your head).
If you guys have found any great gaming related products please pot them on the forums! I'd love to hear about them.
Matty
Thanks,
Matty

How's the G73 fit in the backpack? I've been looking to find a case for mine, but I'm worried that all the Targis ones won't fit. This laptop just has such a weird shape to it that when the Best Buy employee me if I needed help, after I said "I'm looking for a backpack for my G73", he just looked at me and said "Good luck."

So far, the SLAPPA Mask K.O.A. is the only case or backpack I have found that will fit the beast. If you find another one, please let me know. It actually fits in the sleeve and the sleeve velcros shut (barely).
Tons of extra room for gear and my work laptop.

Sounds good. It seems like everyone who has a G73 and needs a backpack is going with Slappa, so I grabbed the KOA with the red lining with the gas mask insert. Apparently they're going to make it so you can buy the other bag face and extra inserts later, which will be nice, as I'd like to change out the face occasionally so I don't have a turtle shell on my back.
