Hello everyone,

So I came on your NS server the other day, and Bob the Burrito was talking to someone about a potential hacker, and he said he was going to "go look at the demo." Do you guys by any chance record the demos of games through HLTV? If so, is there a place we could get them from?

I'd love to get my hands on one so I could critique my game a bit, the way it stands my computer is too slow to record demos and play at the same time, it gets jerky.

Much appreciated~

Well, unless you see the AoL HLTV Proxy in the server, we only use HLTV for recording demos of our CAL matches on the Counter-Strike side. I don't know if we have a HLTV for spectating in the NS server.

And we generally don't make our demos accessible to the public. Sorry. :P

the NS server is running hltv, with a 3 minute delay. If you see something that was blatant hacking, quit the NS server and go and join hltv and start recording immediately.

never gave a free critique to me! B)
I was minding my own business on warsong, whn Bob The BURRITO decided to take it upon himself to attach his goblin jumpercables to my nutsacks, and jumpstarted me. This was cause for great concern, as I am a zombie, and QUITE flammable. -yogi

Oh, ok I get it, I just figured that since there was a HLTV that they were being recorded somewhere, the delay is kinda cool too. I do have a second comp (but a second key? I'd have to check), would you be against me occasionally connecting on the second machine to the HLTV server to record?

Hi Bob B)
Bah, hacking? It all becomes easier once you realize you're actually a lerk trapped in a human body :P Then you start trying to get in touch with your inner lerk in flapping sessions and by gliding off of ledges, then you get better (well, because you broke your legs and have nothing to do but play NS). True story.

P.S.- When I was trying to add the [AoL] tag to the quote thingies, it showed up as [AoL)
<next line><name>, why did the forums switch it to a )?

Okay, there's a problem with the forum software . . . it lies in the fact that brackets "[]" are used for the delimiter for identifying bbcode.

Since you're starting a quote, it sees the first closing bracket at the end of the AoL, and closes that section preemptively. Instead of seeing the extra OPENING bracket, and correctly identifying the fact that it needs to wait one extra CLOSING bracket before it says okay this is the end of the quote info section.

Anyway, yeah.

I'm not sure this will work correctly, but I'm trying a multi-quote, to see if IT will correctly parse the quote brackets. New replies seem to work now, while edits do not seem to.

And obviously, the multi-quote worked. So only when you edit a post will that happen, I believe. Might be some other similar circumstances, but unsure what others those would be.
