You must have a low end or midrange graphics card? B/c that HL2 pic looks way too choppy with blurry textures... then again, it wouldn't surprise me the least bit if that's how the game looks.

they aren't gonna make an engine block look omg awesome and the rest crappy

im on dx9 with a radeon 9800, default video settings on 1024x768 (medium mainly)

rest looks omg sex0r but thats gotta be the worst area, btw its also in a dark area so you usually wouldn't notice

i agree, the audio lags like crazy at some points, espcially after a loading screen. I've only played about an hour or so and i must say, its the best SP game i've played in ages. The wait was well worth it.

Nah, just typical VALVe stuff. I know they'll be resolved in a year or so, so I'm not too concerned since it'll take at least 3 months for a "decent" mod to appear.


On thing though... someone SERIOUSLY needs to create a Bomb Run game with the gravity gun and shit. Have it be a CS:S mod

yes HL2 has problems on nvidia cards apparently

im running a radeon and I played the game flawlessly with minor weirdness when a new voice clip starts too close to another. My card is from 2 years ago, as well.

i decided to turn on mat_forceaniso and mat_antialias to 16x and 6x so my next screenies should be better

they were off in the pics listed above
