Before I got my new PC150s, I used Plantronics Audio 90s which still work great.
The microphone just doesn't work on my PC, dunno why.
When I replug the Audio 90s, it works as usual but the sennheisers don't work on the mic. I'm using onboard audio as well.
If you need any more detail, just ask, because I really don't know what the problem is.

It could be that the cable for the microphone is broken. Do you have another PC to try it out on?
And does your Sennheiser have the regular headphone/microphone plug, or is it USB?

Check your mic options. If you have an NForce2 board, download the newest driver and make sure the settings are correct. If it still doesn't work, change around some options and keep trying.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Did you check to see if you accidentally muted some of your input channels?
Or, to put it another way: baby, you complete me. Now, stop already with the blushing ingnue act and strap that thing on while I run and fetch the midget.
