it is the wow/interface/addons file for addons.
some chat bugs require you to get rid of wdb wtf and interface folders.

if you open the addons folder, there should be the names of your addons.
Get rid of the addons you want, unless its all of them then get rid of all of them.

Kosh's recommended addons (patch 1.10):

Itemrack
Excellent for quick switching some if not all gear with a keybinding.
It also has scriptable events. Ex. get on mount auto puts mount gear on.
Also has events for druid forms.

Enemy Casting Bar
Just like spell alert, but only for your target and shows a bar for an educated estimate of your targets cast time.
Also has stuff for PvE.

Discord Mods
I highly recommend their bars and unit frames if you love customizing everything completely.
If you like to make your ui all coool looking and stuff get discord art.
Warning: Learning curve time is more than an hour. Setting up bars and frames the way you want - even longer.

Already Killed
For those pvpers - great way to track estimated honor and who you have killed.

Honor+
another honor tracker, this is session based though.
I use cause of the scoreboard. puts little +'s in class color and if you go under alliance or horde tabs puts name in class color.

Scrolling Combat Text
How can you not be using this.

Caster Stats
This makes life easier for casters trying to calculate crit% hit% and spell damage and what not.

TipBuddy
and for that customizable tooltip.

sum good add-ons i've found and use :

Carbonite- an add-on that give u a better fully uncovered map, coord, quest tracker, quest helper, and a bunch of other neat things. also lets u see where other ppl r that have carbonite and lets u and enemy players so when they r in the area it lets u know. constantly updated works w/ new patch.

Atlas loot- a very comprehensive loot table w/ linkable items

Auctioneer- price check

cast timer- its a cast timer adds a mini timer on ur cast and channeling bars

Bartender- lets u completely re configure ur UI, resize, move, add bars, keybindings. awsome for freeing up screen space

chat scroll- lets u scroll chat text w/ mouse wheel

mini map zoom- lets u zoom in/out the mini map w/ mouse wheel

and a good damage meter should top every thing off, but mines outdated and dosent work w/ WotLK so if any 1 knows a good Stand alone DM please let me know
