:o So I went to re-install today and after I had whiped my partitions and then as it it was going though the normal boot up and go from teh CD to start and install it was loading some files then POOF... off goes my computer... nothing.. so I vaccumed it and cold air sprayed it to clean it and then now it will not power on... My network cable light is on on my mother board.. but nothing boots... nothing spins up... nothing.. any suggestions?

Running AMD 28+, a8n7x deluxe MB and stuff... I dunno I'm going to try to put my HDD in this current computer ( my dads ) and install XP on it.. but this no power is bothering me.... I'm thinking of swaping my power supply to this computer to see what it does..

Ummm thats all really...

Thanks in advance.

I reset the BIOS via the CMOS battery... I'm thinking I might try to attack this power supply to the broken computer... to see if its the power supply.. or.. hope its not the mother board... I dunno its kinda messed... I can seem to gifure it out and there is way to many wires in my computer to figure it out... if something became un attached.. which I doubt happens

You mentioned your wires being a messed, so is your power button plugged into the motherboard? Your comp will act exactly like you described with that unplugged. Should plug into something like whats circled in the pic and might not be color coded.

Make sure there is something plugged in the pwr. Sometimes and if your lucky they will be labeled in very small letters "pwr" "rst" ect..

you probably blew dust into a critical part with your can of air!
... :o

here is what you do to fix comp:
1) plug comp in
2) make sure switch on back is set to "ON" position
3) press button
4) button no worky? fix button...
5) power supply no worky? fix power supply or get new one
6) comp no worky? get new comp
