so supposedly this card will work on my computer, I finally have everything up and in order thankfully. mmm 1600x1200 so tasty... anyways I've been looking into getting an entirely new system but with limited money im sorta stranded for now. has anyone heard anything good about the ATi X1300 256mb AGP version by visiontek? I can get it for $150 at compusa, the specs on their website match my specs but im just curious before I go and buy this thing and its worse then the 9200 im stuck with now...

The kind of bandwidth you'd get from the pixel pipelines in an x1300 isn't even as strong as say a 9800 PRO. I picked up an X800 XT 16 pipline card for $450 (expensive for that card i know..) and it's perfect. Now i play wow, which is both ram and GPU extensive (might not seem that way, but poor VML propriatorialship (a word?) is a result of bad programming IE: it's rough on the system). I have 2 gigs of ram etc.. and it runs smooth as HELL on my system.
I have a 9800PRO you could have for say $50 clean. Barely used, i'll pay the shipping even. It'd be better in the end than an X1300. An X1300 is basically a 9300PRO, but with a higher bandwidth, which would equal out to say about the 9800PRO. I would'nt get into the X---- line, unless you go X1600-1900.
Just my 2 cents

What do you have against the 6X00GT series?
Or, to put it another way: baby, you complete me. Now, stop already with the blushing ingnue act and strap that thing on while I run and fetch the midget.

love my 6800 gt
In order for crossfire to work, you need to have a Master card, and a slave. The master card is the special X1*** card that comes with a big ass cable/adapter. The slave can be any of the other crossfire ready cards. IMO, crossfire sucks unless you buy the best stuff.
IE: have a dual core processor with 2 gigs of ram. If you have a slow processor, your videocards are going to be bottlenecked. The same goes for ram.
